Manish Malhotra designed the new uniform for the crew and pilots of Air India.

Air India hired Manish Malhotra, a fashion designer, to create their new uniforms.

New Delhi: Today, Air India unveiled the pilots' and crew members' new uniforms. This is the first time the airline has altered the uniforms of its crew in sixty years since its founding in 1932, and it coincides with the airline's current merger with Vistara.

According to an announcement made by the airline on X, the new uniform is a "tribute to Air India's rich history and a promise of a bright future." It will be introduced by the end of this year.

In order to create new uniforms that "represent the confident, vibrant new India," the airline hired fashion designer Manish Malhotra to create designs in the colours red, aubergine, and gold for its over 10,000 flight crew, ground crew, and security personnel.

The official Air India account shared a video on X featuring crew members dressed in the newest uniforms.

"A tribute to Air India's illustrious past and a sign of the airline's promising future, please accept our new pilot and cabin crew uniforms. The three traditional Indian colours of red, aubergine, and gold are featured on these uniforms, which were designed by renowned Indian designer Manish Malhotra and symbolise the self-assured, dynamic new India, the airline stated on X.

Concurring to the discharge from the aircraft, "Discuss India anticipates to commence rolling out the unused see for its formally dressed workers by the conclusion of 2023."

According to the release from the airline, "Air India expects to commence rolling out the new look for its uniformed employees by the end of 2023."

Air India ordered 470 aircraft from Boeing and Airbus earlier this year as part of an ambitious revamp plan.

"Air India's crew uniforms are among the most storied in aviation history," stated Campbell Wilson, the company's chief executive officer and managing director. "We immovably accept that Manish Malhotra's inventive outfit will script an energizing modern chapter for Discuss India's future account." It superbly typifies our unused brand, our directing benefit standards, and our mission to rethink worldwide flying benchmarks."

"It is an honour to have been given the opportunity to design the uniforms for Air India," said designer Manish Malhotra.

Being able to support the national flag-bearer and highlight the grace and allure of Indian fashion is an honour. "My goal was to design uniforms that embodied a contemporary and sophisticated style, while also capturing the essence of India's diverse culture and traditions," the man stated.

Navya Naveli Nanda, the granddaughter of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, made her debut at this year’s Paris Fashion Week. Her proud mother, Shweta Bachchan, shared an array of photographs and videos from the event, showcasing Navya’s stunning appearance on the runway in a mini red dress. Navya’s aunt Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also walked the same ramp.

Shweta posted pictures of herself with her mother, Jaya Bachchan, as they sat in the front rows, cheering enthusiastically for Navya as she confidently walked the ramp. Navya walked the runway for cosmetic brand L’Oréal Paris at this prestigious fashion event. Shweta shared a video capturing her daughter’s runway walk, captioning it, “Little miss L’Oréal.”

In another post, Shweta shared a delightful collection of photos from their time in Paris. She revealed that while Navya was busy with her preparations for the show, she and her mother took leisurely walks around Paris. Shweta wrote, “All roads led to Paris this weekend. Well, at least for my mother & me. As Navya spent all her days doing L’Oréal things. My mother and I walked and ate (more eating than roaming to be honest) The show was an experience and so emotional – my mother and I both admitted to holding back tears as our little girl walked on all smiles !!! I remember her first steps she was just a few days past her 1st birthday – like yesterday, all parents say this I’m sure, it’s cheesy, and annoying, but so true. She wore red, the Eiffel Tower turned pink, and we went home very proud, very emotional, and very hungry. I snuck in some M&M’s in my bag, though it’s blasphemous to eat chocolate at a fashion show, we did – because we’re worth it.”

Notably, Navya’s aunt, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, was also present at the Paris Fashion Week. Aishwarya dazzled on the runway as the Indian brand ambassador for L’Oréal Paris, wearing a gold shimmering cape gown and showcasing her newly debuted blonde highlights.
